1992 - Aaron Winders replaces Dwayne Brier as Drummer.
That summer SOTW opened for "Blue Oyster Cult" at a local venue at the time called Rodstadts Concert Club.
Later in fall that year SOTW met recording engineer Bud Snyder ("Uncle Bud"). Bud had worked with The Allman Brothers for 17 years. SOTW signed a spec deal with Bud at Telstar Recording studio in Sarasota, FL and began recording pre-production demos.
THE DEMO - Engineered by Bud Snyder was never released for purchase but did get some local radio airplay of
"Say You Don’t Care" and "October Moon"on 98 Rock's "Tampa Bay Rocks" show.
1993 - SOTW played at the 98 ROCK "Live Stock" opening night party" at the RITZ THEATER Ybor City, FL. This was the same weekend that Savatage’s lead guitarist Chris Oliva was killed in a car accident on the way to LiveStock. It also marks the time when True Metal began to die out from mainstream attention. |
